With 30+ years of experience as a Colon Hydrotherapist, Nutritionist, Herbalist, and Holistic Health Educator, Joanne Brophy is dedicated to empowering individuals through holistic health education and to further the advancement of Colon Hydrotherapy.

The Academy was originally founded in 1997 as the Academy of Colon Hydrotherapy Canada by Joanne Brophy and housed in Jade Natural Clinic, Waterloo, Ontario until 2023.
In the autumn of 2023, the Academy moved to the beautiful countryside of Lake Huron as part of Dragonfly Medicine House that is Joanne's holistic health clinic, spa, retreat center, and so much more! The Academy changed its name to the Academy of Holistic Health Sciences Canada to accommodate more types of programs.

Joanne Brophy, Founder of the Academy of Holistic Health Sciences and Dragonfly Medicine House began her healing journey in her thirties when she was challenged with life-threatening ovarian cancer. She vowed to never have a recurrence again. The knowledge to do this was powerfully gained with personal study and experience. She states that she would not be here today if it were not for cleansing, detoxification, and Colon Hydrotherapy.
